In the show called “The Simpsons” there was an episode called “Four Great Women And A Manicure”. This episode had a reference to “Macbeth” when Lisa and Marge were together having a manicure as they also talked about great and powerful women of history. The Simpson characters all experienced a Shakespearean dilemma. Marge convinced Homer to try out for the play that they had where Homer portrayed the role as Macbeth. Throughout the play, whenever someone got in the way of Homer, Marge convinced him to kill them until he was the last one left. This resembles how the witches kept getting into Macbeth’s head as well causing him do do things. Marge who represents Lady Macbeth, convinced her husband to kill because she wanted power. Lady Macbeth also wanted power.
