Differences :
– The boys were rescued by a military guy in movie
-The movie progressed a lot faster than the book by leaving out details that were addressed in the book
– In the movie they were cadets and knew each other from before. In the book it was addressed that they just met on the island
-More of an organized voting in the book
– In the movie a helicopter passed, in book it was a ship
– The boy with the mulberry-colored birthmark is not in the movie
– The conch doesn’t brake in the movie like it did in the book
-In the movie, the plane crashed in the ocean where as in the book, it crashed on the island making a scar
– In the book, the boys were “british boys” but in the movie they did not have a british accent
– Simon had a dream in the book where he was back home, that what never mentioned in the movie
– In the book, Jack has red hair & freckles. But in the movie he’s blonde.
Similarities :
– The plot is the same, where the boys are stranded on the island
– Piggy’s death was the same where he died from the rock
– Simons death was the same where he was beaten by the other boys being mistaken for the beast
I perfer the book over the movie because of how the movie left a lot of the interesting details out. The book had more of a impact and helped create an imagine in your mind. But the descriptions that they put was not included into the movie.
